1. Give me one fact about you as an author that
most people don’t know.
I love a good fight (as long as a real person doesn’t get
hurt). I’m a Second Dan Black Belt in Hap Ki Do and an instructor and love
bringing a little bit of choreographing to the page with a good scuffle.
That’s a very interesting fact! I love reading
a fight scene that is well done. Now, let’s see what else she has to say.

As Christian writers, we long to share God’s
love, goodness, and grace with others through our writing. But quite often our
stories speak to us as much as our readers. How did God use this story to help
you stretch and grow as a person?
Political tensions are pretty hot right now, but writing
from both sides of a conflict remind me that most people are just people trying
to get by. Their reasoning might not make a lot of sense on the surface but
often there are deeper wounds and fears that made them who they are.

Was there a scene you had to edit out which you
really liked? Tell us about it.
Not in this book, that I can remember, but it is something I
have done with other books. The Scarlet Coat went through many edits over the
years (it was one of my earliest manuscripts) and while cutting is always
painful, I do love the finished product!

What is the quality you like the most about your
heroine?
Her love of home and family. She’ll do whatever is necessary
for the people she cares about.
5.
Being a writer is a busy life, isn’t it? I’m
sure you’re working on something new to intrigue your readers. What’s in the
works for you right now?
I’m very excited about a novella I am writing for Barbour
Publishing called
A Tempered Heart

in Christ, her faith permeates the stories she tells. Her martial arts
training, experience with horses, and appreciation for good romance sneak in
