Suzie Waltner

Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee. Well, twenty miles south in the suburb of Franklin, but everyone knows Nashville. Fun fact about me, or perhaps just fact: Before moving to Tennessee after graduating from the University of Idaho in Moscow (up north in that panhandle—two miles from the Washington state border, six miles from Pullman, home of Washington State University), I’d never been further east than Cheyenne, Wyoming. Seventeen years later, I’m still in Tennessee and consider it home.

My interests are varied. I am an avid reader and like almost everything—romance, historical, YA, dystopian, mystery and suspense. When I’m not reading or writing, I like a good movie, a lively concert, or cheering my Nashville Predators NHL team on from September to April (we’re still waiting for a season that lasts into June and ends with that prestigious cup).
In 2013 a friend challenged me to try my hand at NaNoWriMo (if you’re not familiar with the acronym: National Novel Writers’ Month). The challenge is to write 50,000 words during the month of November. My first attempt at the challenge produced my first self-published book as well as many more stories in various stages—three out of four in the Remembrance series available for purchase now with the fourth (and final) scheduled for release October 2015 and a few more in critique/editing/writing processes.
If you’d like to schedule an interview, message me on Facebook or Twitter. Thank you for joining us at The Diamond Mine.
