Welcome to the Diamond Mine, Renee (although you're always at the Mine.) We're glad to be able to interview you and let readers know about your new publication. The Rough Diamond Writers searches the gems of Christian Fiction for those special jewels like yours. So let’s get started!
Thanks for having me! I’m so excited to be here as an interviewee this time. I’m used to being on the “other” side of the interrogation, so to speak. LOL
Renee, you have a book launch this weekend for the second in your Snowy Range Chronicles. Please tell us what’s special or unique about your book.
I would have to say the setting. It’s actually a character itself. It lives and breathes…grows and changes just like a person. You never know what to expect from it! Wyoming is special. That’s why I love it so much.

Your cover gives us such a good glimpse of Wyoming's rugged natural beauty.
On another topic, you work a full-time job besides writing novels. What do you like the most about your job and why? Dislike? Which one? LOL I’m a pharmacy manager for a retail pharmacy. It’s quite challenging, but I love being a pharmacist. I’m not too keen on dealing with grumpy people who expect fries with their drugs (It’s a saying we have when people show up wanting their prescriptions done in less than five minutes…”do you want fries with that?”). It’s always tough. But I love it.
What would you do if you couldn’t write anymore? I’d read…a lot! I love to read. Maybe I’d be a professional reviewer. Who knows? I don’t get to read as much as I used to and I love it.
Boy, I am with you there! The only challenge about reading it that it requires TIME.
Do you have any hobbies or things you like to do when you aren’t working? I’m a crazy Wyoming gal. I love to read, fish, and hunt, not necessarily in that order and apart. I’ve been known to take a book when I go fishing and hunting. We’ve also been known to take a gun on a fishing trip with my book in a backpack! Mountain lions don’t respond well to pepper spray.
Put that together with your writing, and you're one busy girl! Thanks for taking the time for this interview, and our best to you with Through Raging Waters, Renee. Here is more information on Through Raging Waters. Renee is giving away one free kindle copy of her novel to a commenter. Thanks for joining us today, and we'll let the winner know the good news in a week.
Blurb:
If Mother Nature has her way, Timber Springs will never be the same...
A warm spring and early rainstorms melt the snowpack. Spring runoff compounded by the storm of the century sends Timber Springs into a tailspin.
Tossed into the role of rescuer, local pharmacist Paul Fitzgerald must face his past before the whole world falls apart. While he fights to contain the beast around him, he finds his steadfast control slipping through his fingers. And life…everyone’s life…hangs by a thread once again.
She isn’t a hero. Melissa Hampton has her own demons to battle. After she learns of her mysterious beginnings amidst her mother’s keepsakes, she faces more than just the river rushing outside her door. Now, she must discern friend from foe…but as waters rise and tension climbs within Timber Springs, she needs to rise to the challenge or lose the only man she's ever loved.
Can two people find each other through raging waters?

I agree on the taking a book on fishing trips! It can be a perfect time to read!
Enjoyed the interview. I love Renee's books and really enjoyed this one. Do not include me in the drawing as I was blessed to get to read an advance copy.
Great interview with an awesome author! All three of Renee Blare's books are 5 star and the next one, I'm certain will be right up there. I love the setting of the two in Wyoming. Wonder-filled beautiful wild country with strong folks to live through the weather as well as economic changes. Thank you, Renee, for sharing your world with us and thank you Diamond Mine for sharing her.
I, too, have the Kindle copy already as well as paperback ordered. Please award another the free copy.
Hi folks, welcome to the Diamond Mine! How can I give away a free copy? Everybody's already got one! LOL I guess more people need to comment! Any questions about my wonderful state? Go for it! Thanks again for stopping by and being wonderful fans!
I don't have a copy yet, but I want to read your book. We have been through Wyoming twice, while on our way to Seattle. It's beautiful country!!!
Hi Becky, welcome to the Diamond Mine. I'm so glad you enjoyed your jaunts through Wyoming. I hope you get a chance to come back and stay a little bit longer. :) It is truly God's country.
Thanks for stopping in, Becky. Hope you enjoy Renee's book as much as you enjoyed passing through Wyoming.
Very interesting. Thank you.
Haven't read anything by Renee. I am sorry but I always loved seeing Wyoming it looks so Wonderful! I tried hunting and nearly blew my shoulder off so I will be happy to enjoy the catch! My dad was a buthcher by trade and a hunter, fisherman so bring on the food. Renee if your ever in Michigan look me up will go out fishing and reading toether!
I would love to be a professional reader, as well. I know when I have spent too much time in books, because my laundry is piled up and the family is asking for food. It would be fun to designate 8 hours a day/40 hours a week to reading.
LOL If I'm ever out your way, I'll definitely look you up, Justina! I love a good fishing expedition...don't forget the books!
Thanks for stopping by, Melissa. :)
Hey, Terrill. I love to hide out and bury my nose in a book. It never fails I forget to do something around my house though. Not usually food...I don't cook. Heheehee
Love that the second book of the series has hit the shelves! Congrats, Renee!
